If you haven’t looked at the FAB8 NeuroELT conference the Brain SIG and Kansai Chapters are putting on, then do so. This brain-friendly conference will be held Sept. 26-27 in Kyoto. Plenaries will be given by the world-famous Mind, Brain, and Education author, Tracey Tokuhama-Espinosa, and JALT’s own Amanda Gillis-Furutaka. Tracey will talk about The Science in the Art of Teaching, impacts from neuroscience on education, and Social Contagion, the neuroscience of the group. Amanda will also do a plenary on The Neuroscience of Music. Check out the 30 or so presentations on the conference site: http://www.fab-efl.com
CT SIG’s own James Dunn will be presenting on Reading Comprehension and Metacognition on Saturday at 11am. Come and check out all the goodness!
