Evening Critical Thinkers!
JALT will hold its First Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) of 2015 on June 28, 2015, at the Yamanishi Welfare Memorial Hall in Osaka. The meeting will be held from 14:30-15:30.
Importantly, we need a majority of JALT members to be present at the OGM for it to be valid. Holding a valid OGM is necessary for us in order to maintain our status as a nonprofit organization (NPO).
Fortunately, you can vote by online absentee ballot and be counted present for the meeting, as per the JALT Constitution, Article 28.
JALT needs your absentee votes to continue and for proposals to come into effect. If you haven’t already, follow the link, and do the right thing. You have until noon on the 28th June.
You have most likely been contacted by an email from your local chapter. In that email, you will have a personal website address to go to that will cast YOUR votes. If you did not get that email, you can go to this website: http://jalt.org/2015-1-ogm, log in to your account, and do your voting there. There are also supporting documents to help you make an informed decision on that page as well (scroll all the way to the bottom to do a little critical thinking about the issues!).
Thanks for your help in this matter!
Critically yours,
The CT SIG Executive Board
